There are 15 Palestinian journalists including two women in Israeli jails and one of them Mahmoud Issa has been in detention since 1993 serving three life terms and 46 years.
Among those detainees are journalist Mujahed Bani Mifleh who was kidnaped yesterday February 28 as he was traveling with his wife and kids from Ramallah to his home in Nablus.
Two female journalists Mais Abu Ghosh and Bushra Attawil are also among the detainees.
According to the Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) journalist Abu Ghosh had been exposed to physical and psychological torture for over a month in the Moskobiya detention center in west Jerusalem.
As for journalist Attawil who was detained several times before she has been in administrative detention with no indictment or trial since December 15 2019.
A court hearing was slated to be held for journalist Yazan Abu Salah from Jenin on Thursday February 27 PPS said
Other court hearings will be held next March for journalists Sameh Attiti Mais Abu Ghosh Mustafa al-Sakhel and Qassam al-Barghouthi (exposed to excruciating torture at the Moskobiya detention center).
