The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Tuesday kidnapped 15 Palestinian citizens from their homes in different areas of the West Bank and Jerusalem.
The Israeli army claimed its forces arrested 13 wanted Palestinians accused of carrying out attacks against soldiers and settlers.
Quds Press reported that Israeli soldiers kidnapped two young men at dawn from Shuafat refugee camp near Occupied Jerusalem and al-Arroub refugee camp in al-Khalil.
Five others were also taken prisoners in IOF campaigns in Far’un village in Tulkarem and Jalazone refugee camp in Ramallah. They were identified as Mu’men Abu Sabika Hamza Yousef Osaid Nakhlah Sufiyan Sharaka and Mohamed Aliyan.
In Jerusalem the IOF kidnapped two young men from the family of Shamas’neh from their homes in Qatanna town.
In Jenin a young man called Omar Hamarsheh was kidnapped in Ya’bad town. Local sources said the IOF confiscated his father’s car.
In al-Khalil a large number of Israeli troops stormed Beit Ummar town north of al-Khalil and ransacked some homes claiming they were looking for wanted people.
In another context the IOF soldiers set up a makeshift checkpoint at dawn on a road north of Halhul town and near Karmi Tzur settlement and embarked on searching passing vehicles for about two hours with no reported arrests.
Eyewitnesses reported hearing gunshots near the settlement after midnight and seeing soldiers spreading in the area after that.
Meanwhile an Israeli military force stormed Dura town south of al-Khalil raided homes and handed several ex-detainees summonses for interrogation from the Shin Bet.
Other ex-detainees also received similar summonses during IOF dawn raids in different neighborhoods of al-Khalil city.
