The 15th Palestinians in Europe Conference kicked off on Saturday April 15 2017 in the Dutch city of Rotterdam amid tightened security measures with the participation of hundreds of Palestinians in Europe.
The Conference has been under an organized smearing campaign by pro-Israeli lobby groups and right wing elements who claimed that the conference is planned by Hamas Movement. The Fatah Movement’s spokesman in Europe Jamal Nazzal said the conference is an attempt to override the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO).
The conference secretary general Adel Abdullah denied these claims saying that they lie on no evidence and stressed that the international laws support the right of Palestinians in Europe to carry out such activities.
He told Quds Press that the 15th Palestinians in Europe Conference kicked off in English and Arabic languages with the participation of youth women and Palestinian professional syndicates in all fields.
Majed al-Zeer chairman of Palestinians in Europe Conference said that the Conference management denounced pro-Israel groups’ attempts to impose the oppressive Israeli occupation techniques on civilized European nations such as Holland.
In the speech of Palestinians in Europe Conference Mazen Khail said that the conference stressed the Palestinian right of return and opined that the ill-famed Balfour declaration is expired.
