The Palestinian health ministry on Tuesday reported 17 new deaths associated with COVID-19 (coronavirus) 1703 new positive tests and 2112 recoveries in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip during the last 24 hours.
According to the ministry’s daily report 10 of the victims who died of the virus are from the West Bank and seven from Gaza.
Moreover 74 critically ill COVID-19 patients are being treated in intensive care units and 18 of them have been placed on ventilators.
An additional 197 patients are also receiving medical care in hospitals and special COVID-19 treatment centers.
92.4 percent of the total cases have recovered from the disease while the rate of active cases has reached 6.6 percent and the rate of deaths is 1.0 percent of the total cases according to data updated today by the ministry.
