The Palestinian health ministry on Thursday reported 173 new positive tests associated with COVID-19 (coronavirus) and 179 recoveries from the virus in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip with no new deaths during the last 24 hours.
According to the ministry’s daily report six critically ill COVID-19 patients are receiving intensive care in hospitals and one of them has been placed on ventilators.
In addition another 12 patients are receiving medical care in hospitals and special COVID-19 treatment centers in the West Bank.
98 percent of the total cases have recovered from the disease while the rate of active cases has reached 0.9 percent and the rate of deaths is 1.1 percent of the total cases according to data updated today by the ministry.
