The Palestinian health ministry on Wednesday reported 18 new deaths associated with COVID-11 (coronavirus) 2672 new positive tests and 1538 recoveries in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip during the last 24 hours.
According to the ministry’s daily report 12 of the new victims who died of the virus are from different areas of the West Bank and six from Gaza.
203 critically ill COVID-19 patients are also receiving intensive care in hospitals and 65 of them have been placed on ventilators.
In addition another 578 patients are receiving medical care in hospitals and special COVID-19 treatment centers.
88.3 percent of the total cases have recovered from the disease while the rate of active cases has reached 10.7 percent and the rate of deaths is 1.0 percent of the total cases according to data updated today by the ministry.
