The Palestinian health ministry reported on Tuesday 19 new deaths associated with COVID-19 (coronavirus) 836 new positive tests and 2837 recoveries in the West Bank Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip during the last 24 hours.
According to the ministry’s daily report nine of the victims who died of the virus are from the West Bank one from Jerusalem and nine others from Gaza.
Moreover 88 critically ill COVID-19 patients are being treated in intensive care units and 30 of them have been placed on ventilators.
An additional 155 patients are also receiving medical care in hospitals and special COVID-19 treatment centers in the West Bank.
96.7 percent of the total cases have recovered from the disease while the rate of active cases has reached 2.4 percent and the rate of deaths is 0.9 percent of the total cases according to data updated today by the ministry.
