The Israeli navy on Friday morning arrested two Palestinian fishermen and confiscated their boat as they sat sail off Beit Lahiya shore north of Gaza.
Israeli gunboats attacked the Palestinian fishermen Sadam and Udai al-Sultan as they sailed within the six-nautical-mile authorized zone before they arrested them and seized the vessel.
Palestinian fishermen putting out to Gaza’s seashore have been permanently targeted by the Israeli navy in contravention of the terms of the truce deal signed in the wake of the 2014 offensive on the besieged costal enclave.
