The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) kidnaped at dawn Thursday at least 20 Palestinian citizens during raids on homes in different West Bank areas.

According to local sources the IOF arrest campaign targeted mainly areas in al-Khalil Bethlehem Jenin and Ramallah.

Last night hundreds of Palestinian citizens participated in spontaneous marches in different areas of the West Bank and Jerusalem to pay tribute to martyr Uday at-Tamimi who was shot dead on Wednesday evening as he was opening fire at Israeli security guards at the entrance of the illegal settlement of Ma’ale Adumim.

Tamimi was the shooter who opened fire at the east Jerusalem checkpoint of Shuafat about two weeks ago killing an Israeli female soldier and severely wounding a security guard before disappearing.

Local sources said that the IOF arrests happened mainly during raids on homes in al-Khalil Bethlehem Nablus Jenin Ramallah and Jerusalem.

Among the detainees are a wounded citizen called Mohamed Abu Baker from Ya’bad town in southern Jenin and journalist Yassin Abu Lafah from Jamma’in town in southern Nablus.

Four Palestinians including a girl child were reportedly injured in Jenin City when the IOF intensively fired live ammunition during clashes with local youths and resistance fighters.
