At least 202 Palestinian workers were arrested by Israeli border cops on Wednesday evening in and near Beer Sheba city.
A PIC news correspondent said the abduction sweep was carried out against hundreds of Palestinian workers on claims that they do not have work permits.
29 Palestinians holding Israeli identity documents were also arrested in the campaign on charges of providing shelter and transportation to Palestinians from the West Bank.
The arrestees were dragged to Israeli detention centers pending exhaustive questioning.
The Israeli police threatened to send the workers to prison sentence them to long terms and to impose hefty fines on them.
