The Palestinian health ministry on Wednesday reported 21 new deaths associated with COVID-19 (coronavirus) and 1539 new positive tests and 2315 recoveries in the West Bank Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip during the last 24 hours.
According to the ministry’s daily report 10 of the new victims who died of the virus are from different areas of the West Bank 10 others from Gaza and one from Jerusalem.
113 critically ill COVID-19 patients are also receiving intensive care in hospitals and 27 of them have been placed on ventilators.
84.8 percent of the total cases have recovered from the disease while the rate of active cases has reached 14.2 percent and the rate of deaths is 1.0 percent of the total cases according to data updated today by the ministry.
