The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched at dawn Sunday a large-scale arrest campaign which continued into the morning hours in the West Bank and Jerusalem.
According to Palestinian informed sources at least 22 citizens were kidnaped and many others were detained and interrogated by the IOF during raids on homes in different areas of the West Bank and Jerusalem.
In Jenin the IOF kidnaped a Palestinian young woman from al-Marah neighborhood in the city and two other citizens affiliated with Islamic Jihad from the towns of Anza and Kafr Ra’i.
A reporter for the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) said that violent confrontations including armed clashes broke out between local youths and the IOF in different areas of Jenin.
Local sources also said that seven shooting operations were carried out by resistance fighters in the West Bank mostly in Jenin.
Clashes with the IOF also happened in different areas of east Jerusalem and the West Bank.
Meanwhile six other citizens were taken prisoners following IOF raids on homes in Tulkarem and Askar refugee camp in Nablus.
In Bethlehem the IOF kidnaped three citizens from al-Khader town and another one from Beit Fajjar town.
The IOF also kidnaped one citizen from the Jordan Valley two from Jerusalem and five others from their homes in al-Fawwar refugee camp in al-Khalil.
