At least 24 Palestinian citizens were injured including three by live ammunition and three others were kidnaped when the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stormed on Tuesday morning Rujeib village in the east of Nablus and clashed with local youths.
According to medical sources three young men were evacuated to Rafidia Hospital after they suffered live bullet injuries while 21 others suffered injuries from rubber bullets and tear gas canisters.
Local sources explained that the events started in the village after the IOF encircled a house belonging to the family of Sawalhi at the pretext there were two wanted persons inside it.
They said that the IOF exchanged fire with resistance fighters inside and outside the house and clashed with angry local youths in the area adding that two young men Nabil Sualhi and Mahmoud al-Tirawi turned themselves in after they ran out of ammunition.
The detained young men are accused of being responsible for recent shooting operations including the incident that happened a few days ago near the illegal settlement of Shavei Shomron.
