The Palestinian health ministry on Saturday reported 24 new deaths associated with COVID-11 (coronavirus) 1651 new positive tests and 1665 recoveries in the West Bank Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip during the last 24 hours.
According to the ministry’s daily report 12 of the new victims who died of the virus are from different areas of the West Bank four from Jerusalem and eight from Gaza.
209 critically ill COVID-19 patients are also receiving intensive care in hospitals and 67 of them have been placed on ventilators.
In addition another 647 patients are receiving medical care in hospitals and special COVID-19 treatment centers.
89.6 percent of the total cases have recovered from the disease while the rate of active cases has reached 9.3 percent and the rate of deaths is 1.1 percent of the total cases according to data updated today by the ministry.
