The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Ramallah announced on Monday that 26 deaths 2762 new cases of the coronavirus and 1855 recoveries were recorded during the past 24 hours.
The ministry confirmed in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that 6 deaths were recorded in the West Bank: al-Khalil 2 Bethlehem 2 Salfit 1 Nablus 1 in addition to 17 deaths in the Gaza Strip and 3 deaths in Jerusalem.
It stated that the new infections were distributed as follows: Tubas 49 Nablus 218 Tulkarem 88 Jenin 168 al-Khalil 25 Qalqilya 25 the suburbs of Jerusalem 17 Jericho and Al-Aghwar 12 Ramallah 132 Salfit 12 Bethlehem 27 the Gaza Strip 1764 and Jerusalem 38.
The recovery rate of the coronavirus reached 87.8 percent while the rate of active infections reached 11.2 percent and the death rate was 1.0% of all infections the ministry added.
It pointed out that there are 186 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 54 who have been placed on ventilators.
Regarding the vaccination campaign the ministry said that the total number of people who received the corona vaccine in the West Bank and Gaza Strip reached 146986 including 14674 who received the two doses of the vaccine.
