Mai Al-Kailah the Palestinian Minister of Health announced on Tuesday that 27 deaths and 2397 new cases of the coronavirus were recorded after conducting 9658 examinations during the past 24 hours.
Kailah confirmed in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that 20 deaths were recorded in the West Bank: al-Khalil 6 Salfit 3 Nablus 3 Tulkarem 3 Qalqilya 2 Tubas 1 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 1 and Jericho and Al-Aghwar 1 in addition to 6 deaths in Jerusalem and one death in the Gaza Strip .
She said that the new cases were distributed as follows: Salfit 86 Nablus 424 Tulkarem 183 Jenin 183 Bethlehem 174 Qalqilya 67 al-Khalil 351 Jerusalem suburbs 67 Tubas 52 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 286 Jericho and Al-Aghwar 18 Gaza Strip 298 and Jerusalem 208.
The new recoveries were recorded according to the following: Salfit 81 Nablus 361 Tulkarem 71 Jenin 108 Bethlehem 206 Qalqilya 28 al-Khalil 563 Jerusalem suburbs 62 Tubas 46 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 427 Jericho and Al Aghwar 38 Gaza Strip 134 and Jerusalem 422 the minister added.
Kailah pointed out that there are 183 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 54 who have been placed on ventilators.
She noted that the recovery rate of coronavirus reached 89.2 percent while the rate of active infections reached 9.7 percent and the death rate was 1.1% of all infections.
