The Palestinian health ministry on Thursday reported 28 new deaths associated with COVID-11 (coronavirus) 2884 new positive tests and 1898 recoveries in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip during the last 24 hours.
According to the ministry’s daily report 20 of the new victims who died of the virus are from different areas of the West Bank and eight from Gaza.
201 critically ill COVID-19 patients are also receiving intensive care in hospitals and 61 of them have been placed on ventilators.
In addition another 588 patients are receiving medical care in hospitals and special COVID-19 treatment centers.
88.1 percent of the total cases have recovered from the disease while the rate of active cases has reached 10.9 percent and the rate of deaths is 1.0 percent of the total cases according to data updated today by the ministry.
