3 Palestinians kidnapped local weapons seized by IOF

Thursday 26-January-2017

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Thursday kidnapped three Palestinians from the northern West Bank province of Nablus hours after they claimed that a workshop for manufacturing weapons was spotted in al-Khalil province.

Reporting from Nablus a PIC news correspondent said Israeli army patrols rolled into Nablus and cordoned off residential neighborhoods in al-Jabal al-Shemali and the Askar refugee camps.

The IOF wreaked havoc on civilian homes in Khilet al-Iman and Mota Road in al-Jabal al-Shemali before they kidnapped the two ex-prisoners Maher Salah and Wael al-Bashtawi from the area.

The Israeli forces further ravaged civilian homes in the Askar al-Jadeed and Askar al-Qadim refugee camps along with Jabal Askar neighborhood.

The assault culminated in the abduction of the university student Hudheifa Abu Ne’ma released last month from the Palestinian Authority (PA) lock-up where he had been incarcerated for 20 days.

A few hours earlier at around predawn time the occupation army claimed a weapons factory was captured in the southern West Bank province of al-Khalil.

The factory allegedly contained eight lathes used to produce weapons.

The Israeli forces confiscated the machinery.

The predawn operation is one of many increasingly carried out by the Israeli army over recent months in the hunt for locally made weapons.
