The Palestinian health ministry on Thursday reported three new deaths associated with COVID-19 (coronavirus) 286 new positive tests and 295 recoveries in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip during the last 24 hours.
According to the ministry’s daily report one of the victims who died of the virus is from the West Bank and the other two are from Gaza.
Moreover 57 critically ill COVID-19 patients are being treated in intensive care units and 16 of them have been placed on ventilators.
An additional 104 patients are also receiving medical care in hospitals and special COVID-19 treatment centers in the West Bank.
98.2 percent of the total cases have recovered from the disease while the rate of active cases has reached 0.8 percent and the rate of deaths is 1.0 percent of the total cases according to data updated today by the ministry.
