Over 30000 Palestinians of Occupied Jerusalem 1948 Occupied Palestine and the West Bank performed Friday prayer in al-Aqsa Mosque amid Israeli tightened security measures.
Israeli forces were deployed in large numbers at the gates of the Muslims’ holy shrine and checked the IDs of worshipers especially the youth. Some were detained until the prayer was finished.
Preacher of al-Aqsa Mosque Sheikh Mohammad Salim stressed in his Friday sermon the importance of supporting hunger striking captives in Israeli jails.
Sheikh Salim asked competent authorities to equally treat ex-detainees with regards to prisoners’ financial allocations and other privileges. He also called for releasing the detained minors.
