The Palestinian health ministry on Sunday reported 31 new deaths associated with COVID-19 (coronavirus) and 1155 new positive tests and 1419 recoveries in the West Bank Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip during the last 24 hours.
According to the ministry’s daily report 17 of the new victims who died of the virus are from different areas of the West Bank seven from Jerusalem and seven others from Gaza.
124 critically ill COVID-19 patients are also receiving intensive care in hospitals and 26 of them have been placed on ventilators.
86.7 percent of the total cases have recovered from the disease while the rate of active cases has reached 12.3 percent and the rate of deaths is 1.0 percent of the total cases according to data updated today by the ministry.
