The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Ramallah announced on Monday that 31 deaths and 2338 new cases of the coronavirus were recorded during the past 24 hours.
The ministry confirmed in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that the recovery rate of the coronavirus reached 89.1 percent while the rate of active infections reached 9.9 percent and the death rate was 1.1% of all infections.
It added that the new infections were distributed geographically to 1980 cases in the West Bank and 358 in the Gaza Strip.
1378 new recoveries were recorded in the West Bank while 156 in the Gaza Strip the ministry noted.
It stated that the new deaths were distributed geographically to 25 in the West Bank and 6 in the Gaza Strip.
The ministry pointed out that there are 198 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 60 who have been placed on ventilators.
