The Palestinian health ministry on Sunday reported 34 new deaths associated with COVID-11 (coronavirus) 988 new positive tests and 2064 recoveries in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip during the last 24 hours.
According to the ministry’s daily report 11 of the new victims who died of the virus are from different areas of the West Bank and 23 from Gaza.
170 critically ill COVID-19 patients are also receiving intensive care in hospitals and 48 of them have been placed on ventilators.
In addition another 493 patients are receiving medical care in hospitals and special COVID-19 treatment centers.
89.1 percent of the total cases have recovered from the disease while the rate of active cases has reached 9.9 percent and the rate of deaths is 1.0 percent of the total cases according to data updated today by the ministry.
