The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) demolished 36 Palestinian homes in Jericho and the Jordan Valley since the start of the year rights sources revealed Monday.
Local activist Muhammad Grof affirmed that 36 Palestinian-owned homes were destroyed since the start of the year in Jericho and the Jordan Valley 25 of them were demolished in August 2022.
90 homes were also notified with demolition during the same reported period including 70 homes in Jericho.
Grof further pointed out that the Israeli occupation authorities have launched an unprecedented confiscation campaigns against Palestinian lands in the Jordan Valley with the aim of expanding the nearby illegal settlements.
Palestinian estimates indicate there are about 650000 settlers living in 164 settlements and 124 outposts in the West Bank including in Occupied Jerusalem.
International law considers all Israeli settlements in the West Bank and Occupied Jerusalem illegal.
