At least 50 Palestinians were wounded in clashes with the Israeli occupation forces outside al-Aqsa Mosque on Monday evening.
The Palestinian Red Crescent said 50 Palestinians were treated for wounds sustained at al-Asbat Gate 15 among whom were transferred to local hospitals.
16 Palestinians sustained rubber bullet wounds and nine others were hit with acoustic bombs. 25 worshipers were meanwhile heavily beaten by the occupation forces. Four Red Crescent paramedics were also injured while evacuating wounded worshipers.
A Palestinian young man sustained critical live bullet injuries in his stomach and was rushed to the hospital.
The Israeli forces further stormed Jerusalem’s al-Maksid Hospital as they chased down the injured protesters.
MP Mustafa al-Barghouti Secretary-General of the Palestinian National Initiative Movement was among the injured Palestinians.
