41 media violations against Palestinian content in November

Wednesday 5-December-2018

A Palestinian social media rights group on Wednesday said that 41 violations were committed against the Palestinian social media content in November.

According to a report released by Sada Social a noticeable increase was witnessed in the social media violations following the latest Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip when Hamas published photos of Israeli soldiers involved in a raid into the enclave.

The report said that the violations included the removal of Facebook pages like Palestine Post Safa news agency and al-Qassam Brigades media page.

Twitter also blocked Palestine Network al-Qassam Brigades media page and the accounts of a number of activists.

In an unprecedented move the Facebook administration at the request of the Israeli government deleted all photos published of the Israeli soldiers who took part in Gaza raid and blocked postings and messages related to them.

Sada Social was launched in September 2017 and it is concerned with enriching the Palestinian content on the internet especially on social media platforms and monitoring the violations committed against this content by different parties.
