45 West Bankers denied travel at Karama crossing last week

Saturday 29-October-2016

The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) prevented 45 Palestinians from traveling through al-Karama (Allenby) border crossing with Jordan last week.

According to a press release by the Palestinian police on Saturday the IOA claims that those Palestinian citizens have been banned from travel for security reasons without providing clear explanations.

However 28000 Palestinian passengers were allowed to travel through al-Karama crossing.

Al-Karama Bridge also known as the King Hussein Bridge and by Israel as Allenby is a crossing that spans the Jordan River and connects the West Bank with Jordan.

The bridge is the sole designated exit and entry point for West Bank Palestinians traveling in and out of the Israeli occupied territories.
