The Israeli occupation authorities (IOA) barred 48 Palestinian citizens from traveling abroad through Allenby border crossing (King Hussein Bridge) with Jordan claiming their travel was banned for security reasons.
According to the Palestinian police in Ramallah the IOA as always did not provide explanations for banning the departure of those citizens.
However 29000 Palestinian passengers were able to leave and enter the West Bank through the crossing last week.
Allenby Bridge also known as al-Karama is a crossing that spans the Jordan River and connects the West Bank with Jordan.
The bridge is the sole designated exit and entry point for West Bank Palestinians traveling in and out of the Israeli occupied territories.
