In a related context the number of new COVID-19 cases recorded daily in Palestine decreased but deaths are still on the rise Palestinian health minister Mai al-Kaila said in a radio broadcast today.

According to Kaila the high number of deaths denotes that the new variant of the virus known as Delta is widespread in Palestine.

“An 18-year-old girl died from the virus although she did not have any previous diseases. She stayed in the hospital for 14 days” the minister said.
