Dozens of Israeli settlers stormed Monday morning al-Aqsa Mosque under heavy protection of Israeli police who earlier arrested four guards of the Mosque.
36 settlers and 20 policemen broke into the courtyards of al-Aqsa Mosque under protection of heavily armed Special Forces who escorted settlers while roaming the plazas of the holy site while receiving Talmudic explanations.
This came after four guards of the holy shrine were briefly detained.
The four guards Luyai Abu al-Saad Ahmed Abu Alia Fadi Abu Mezer and Qasim Kamal were detained and subjected to brief investigation before being all released except Abu al-Saad whose detention was extended.
Abu al-Saad was later released and denied access into the Mosque for 20 days.
