Scores of Jewish settlers stormed al-Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem on Monday and roamed its plazas under tightened security measures by Israeli police.
Feras al-Debbis media official of Islamic Endowment Department said that 59 Jewish settlers were allowed to roam the courtyards of the holy shrine in both morning and afternoon terms.
Israeli policemen along with heavily armed Special Forces offered protection to the settlers during their incursion into al-Aqsa Mosque from the Israeli-controlled al-Magharebah gate and while performing Talmudic rituals at the holy site.
Israeli police also arrested Samer Mujahed employee of the endowment department. He was transferred to an investigation center in the Old City of Occupied Jerusalem.
