Six Palestinian students have declared an open hunger strike in protest against their arbitrary detention in PA jails.

Family sources told the PIC reporter that the six hunger strikers include Abasa Mar’i Qutaiba Azam Fares Jabur Youssef Shawer Jebril Abu Sneina and Mejd Ararawi.

All the six hunger strikers are students in Polytechnic University in al-Khalil south of occupied West Bank.

Mar’i family affirmed that their son declared hunger strike since his detention on Oct. 16 2016 saying that he stopped drinking water after PA court extended his detention for ten additional days.

Mar’i was previously detained six times by PA forces within a month.

For his part Fares Jabur declared a hunger strike for eight days in protest against the extension of his detention for ten additional days.
