The Palestinian health ministry on Monday reported six new deaths associated with COVID-19 (coronavirus) 10444 new positive tests and 1296 recoveries in the West Bank Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip during the last 24 hours.
According to the ministry’s daily report three of the victims who died of the virus are from the West Bank and three others from Gaza.
Moreover 79 critically ill COVID-19 patients are being treated in intensive care units and 23 of them have been placed on ventilators.
An additional 162 patients are also receiving medical care in hospitals and special COVID-19 treatment centers in the West Bank.
88.8 percent of the total cases have recovered from the disease while the rate of active cases has reached 10.2 percent and the rate of deaths is 1.0 percent of the total cases according to data updated today by the ministry.
