Some 69 Israeli settlers on Tuesday stormed the courtyards of al-Aqsa Mosque during the morning round which lasted for four hours.
Local sources stated that Israeli police escorted by Special Forces offered protection to Jewish settlers who entered the holy site from the Israeli-controlled al-Magharebah gate.
The sources pointed out that some of the settlers performed prayers and Talmudic rituals at the eastern side of the holy shrine.
