About 70 Palestinians about half of them are children are still at risk of forced displacement in the east Jerusalem neighborhood of at-Tur as they await an Israeli court to issue a another verdict within a few days over the fate of their five-story residential building.
Last Wednesday an Israeli municipal court in Occupied Jerusalem decided to freeze a previous decision ordering the demolition of this apartment building in Tur.
It also decided to hold another session on December 14 to study a request filed by a Jerusalemite family calling for revoking the demolition order.
10 Jerusalemite families threatened with displacement from this building already announced their rejection of Israeli threats to fine them and demolish their homes.
The families had tried several times to obtain a construction permit and license their building but the Israeli municipality insisted on displacing them and destroying their homes.
The families have been living in that building since 2011 and the Israeli municipality has been persecuting them since then.
