Local sources reported that Ayman Al-Hassanein a filed commander in the Qassam Brigades the armed wing of the Hamas Movement was killed while clashing with the IOF troops that advanced into the suburb mounting a big number of military vehicles south of Gaza city.
The 70-year-old Saadia Hirz was also killed in the IOF soldiers’ indiscriminate shooting at Palestinian citizens while retreating from the suburb the locals added.
They said that IOF tanks were also involved in the incursion and that they fired shells and machineguns at residential quarters to protect their bulldozers that were damaging Palestinian cultivated lands.
The sources further said that the IOF barbaric soldiers shelled the main electricity transformer station in the suburb leading to power failure in the entire area.
