Two Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails have joined the ongoing hunger strike against administrative detention the Palestinian Prisoner Society said on Sunday.

The Palestinian Prisoner Society said that Naser al-Jada’ and Thaer Hamdan started an open-ended hunger strike 12 and 7 days ago respectively in protest at their detention without charge or trial by the Israel Prison Service.

Eight Palestinian prisoners are now on hunger strike against their administrative detention. The first to start the strike was Huthaifa Halabiya 49 days ago and other detainees followed him.

Halabiya’s health condition is deteriorating while the Israel Prison Service completely ignores his demands and complaints and refuses to offer him medical help.
