Mai Al-Kailah the Palestinian Minister of Health announced on Sunday that 8 deaths 1564 cases of the coronavirus and 988 recoveries were recorded after conducting 5767 examinations during the last 24 hours.
Kailah confirmed in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that 5 deaths were recorded in the West Bank as follows: Jerusalem suburbs 1 Bethlehem 1 Ramallah and Al Bireh 1 and Salfit 2 in addition to 3 deaths in Jerusalem.
She stated that the new infections were distributed according to the following: Tulkarem 84 al-Khalil 244 the suburbs of Jerusalem 56 Bethlehem 123 Nablus 108 Jericho and Al-Aghwar 23 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 359 Qalqilya 40 Jenin 46 Salfit 95 Tubas 14 Gaza Strip 128 and Jerusalem 244.
The new recoveries were recorded as follows: Tulkarem 15 al-Khalil 79 the suburbs of Jerusalem 84 Bethlehem 44 Nablus 0 Jericho and Al-Aghwar 7 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 148 Qalqilya 27 Jenin 22 Salfit 68 Tubas 3 Gaza Strip 150 and Jerusalem 341 the minister added.
She noted that the recovery rate of coronavirus reached 92.9 percent while the rate of active infections reached 6.0 percent and the death rate was 1.1% of all infections.
Kailah pointed out that there are 81 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 24 who have been placed on ventilators.
