The Palestinian health ministry on Tuesday reported nine new deaths associated with COVID-19 (coronavirus) 343 new positive tests and 224 recoveries in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip during the last 24 hours.
According to the ministry’s daily report seven of the victims who died of the virus are from the West Bank and two others from Gaza.
Moreover 57 critically ill COVID-19 patients are being treated in intensive care units and 16 of them have been placed on ventilators.
An additional 97 patients are also receiving medical care in hospitals and special COVID-19 treatment centers in the West Bank.
98.2 percent of the total cases have recovered from the disease while the rate of active cases has reached 0.8 percent and the rate of deaths is 1.0 percent of the total cases according to data updated today by the ministry.
