The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) launched at dawn Thursday a large-scale raid and arrest campaign throughout the West Bank and Jerusalem. At least 24 Palestinians were detained.
The IOF claimed that 12 “wanted” Palestinians were detained for being allegedly involved in anti-occupation attacks.
Activists in Jihad and Hamas Movements were among the reported arrests the sources said.
Six Palestinians were detained in al-Khalil as Israeli forces broke into several towns and refugee camps in the city.
A number of houses were violently stormed and searched during the raids. Weapons were allegedly found during the campaign.
Limited armed clashes broke out at dawn today as dozens of Israeli forces stormed Jenin refugee camp.
Two local young men were detained during the clashes and taken to unknown detention centers.
Meanwhile Israeli forces broke into Assira Shamalia town near Nablus and stormed a number of houses including the MP Husni Burini’s house before serving him a summons.
An ex-detainee was also arrested during the raid.
Similar raids and arrests were reported in occupied Jerusalem where more than 12 citizens were detained including a slain Palestinian’s wife.
Nine arrests were carried out in Silwan town while three others were reported in al-Tur and Issawiya towns and the Old City.
