AMB urges unity government to protect Palestinian resistance against Israel

Monday 12-February-2007

GAZA (PIC)– Armed wing of Fatah faction the Aqsa Martyrs Brigades has urged Monday the PA unity government which incumbent PA premier Ismael Haneyya is expected to form within days to adopt and protect the legitimate Palestinian resistance against the Israeli occupation government.

The Brigades’ stand harmonizes with Haneyya’s government stand that supported and still is supporting the Palestinian resistance against Israel “till the full liberation of Palestine”.

Furthermore the AMB announced in a military communiqué it issued and a copy of which was obtained by the PIC the launching of its new armed operation dubbed “the Aqsa call” that according to the communiqué would target Israeli colonies surrounding Gaza Strip in retaliation to the persistent IOA excavations at the Aqsa Mosque.

In the early hours of Monday the Brigades unleashed three of its home-made upgraded Aqsa 103 missiles at the Israeli settlement of Sderot inside the 1948-occupied Palestinian lands.

More Palestinian resistance retaliations to the destruction of the western wall of the Aqsa mosque were noticeable over the past few days.

Defiant Israeli premier Ehud Olmert turned down an urgent request made by his war minister Amir Peretz appealing for the halt of the destruction works citing security concerns and ordered the demolition to go ahead.
