The Applied Research Institute – Jerusalem (ARIJ) has said that the settlers’ crimes and violations in the occupied territories of the West Bank and Jerusalem increased significantly in the midst of the coronavirus crisis.
“As the world is busy facing the coronavirus pandemic and a state of emergency has been declared in the occupied Palestinian territories the settlers are intensifying their settlement activities and their aggression against the Palestinian citizens and their property” ARIJ said in a recent report documenting settlers’ crimes during last March.
ARIJ affirmed that the Israeli occupation forces refrained from taking any action to stop most of the attacks that had been carried out by settlers on Palestinians and their property adding that such attacks increased noticeably in recent years because there was no deterrent curbing them.
