GAZA (PIC)– Acting PLC speaker Dr. Ahmad Bahar has affirmed that he agreed with PA chief Mahmoud Abbas to form a joint security room under the command of PA interior minister grouping all PA security departments including the executive force.
He also added that Palestinian resistance factions will also participate in that room with the aim to end the rampant security mess in the Palestinian arena once and for all.
In press statements he made after meeting Abbas in Gaza city Bahar expressed optimism that the three days of marathon meetings which Abbas held with PA interior minister Hani Al-Kawasmi and heads of the PA security apparatuses would help form the joint operation room as soon as possible.
The two Palestinian officials also discussed the security plan in detail and the obstacles before Kawasmi to carry the plan out including his request to Abbas to relieve Rashid Abu Shebak the head of the preventive security apparatus which Bahar asserted he (Abbas) promised to look into and decide on it within a month.
In addition Bahar urged joint Palestinian efforts on all levels to press the immediate and unconditional release of the 41 kidnapped Palestinian legislators adding that the Israeli detention of those lawmakers constitutes a flagrant intervention in the Palestinian internal affairs.
According to Bahar Abbas categorically rejected the exploitation of the kidnapped MPs issue in any form and expressed full support to the security plan of the interior ministry.
The PA chief also voiced full backing to the PLC to assume its leading role in the Palestinian community.
In an unrelated matter Hamas’ prominent political leader Sheikh Jamal Abu Al-Haija who is serving a nine-life-imprisonment-term in Israeli jails has invited Palestinian resistance factions and political spectrums to consolidate their ranks and to join hand to get rid of the occupation.
He also described the Palestinian national unity as the safety valve for a strong Palestinian internal front that will block schemes and conspiracies against the Palestinian people.
