GAZA (PIC)– Dr. Ghazi Hamad spokesman of the caretaker government said that the meeting between President Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Ismail Haneyya has been rescheduled for Sunday instead of Saturday.
Both Hamas and Fatah have postponed the submission of the names of proposed ministers for the unity government which was scheduled for Friday saying they needed more time for consultations.
According to Hamas sources the list of names of ministerial nominees is almost ready but Hamas is waiting for the decision of other factions.
A Fatah spokesman said that their list of names of ministerial nominees will be finalized when Abbas arrives at Gaza.
Isamil Haneyya for his part confirmed during the Friday sermon that he had completed his consultations on the formation of the unity government and based those consultation will draw a final vision of the make up of the government. He also asked both Hamas and Fatah to submit their respective lists of nominees for the government.
