The Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas met on Saturday his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Istanbul.
Anadolu Agency reported that the closed meeting was conducted at the Wahid ed-Din Palace and lasted for more than an hour before a meeting at the level of delegations began.
President Abbas briefed his Turkish counterpart on the latest political developments related to the Palestinian cause the effects of the Israeli aggression on Gaza the continuous Israeli attacks in Occupied Jerusalem and the displacement of Palestinians as well as discussing issues of common concern.
Abbas arrived in Turkey on Friday on a three-day official visit at the invitation of Erdogan.
