Abbas meets with Erdogan in Ankara

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas met with the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday in the Turkish capital of Ankara.

According to Wafa news agency the two presidents discussed a number of issues of importance for both countries especially the ongoing Israeli violations in Occupied Jerusalem and al-Aqsa Mosque.

Wafa also said Abbas and Erdogan discussed ongoing efforts aimed at ending the inter-Palestinian conflict between Hamas and Fatah Movements and achieving national reconciliation as well as other efforts being exerted by the Palestinian leadership to convene the Palestinian National Council.

Abbas arrived in Ankara on Sunday on an official visit in response to an invitation by Erdogan.
