OCCUPIED JERUSALEM (PIC)– Khaled Abu Arafa the former PA minister of Jerusalem affairs has warned of a possible Israeli occupation forces’ (IOF) attack on the Aqsa Mosque within the few coming days following recent exercises.
Abu Arafa who is one of the four Jerusalemite deputies threatened with deportation by the Israeli occupation authority (IOA) said in a press release on Friday that the IOF troops built a replica of the Dome of the Rock and the Aqsa Mosque along with the alleged Temple and staged storming maneuvers.
Meanwhile the Carter center said in a solidarity message to the threatened deputies on Friday that the IOA deportation order against them constituted a “serious precedent”.
It expressed deep concern over the IOA intention to withdraw residence rights of those deputies at the pretext that they are affiliated with Hamas.
The center urged the international quartet committee to ask the Israeli government to respect the international law in occupied Jerusalem and to respect the rights of the MPs in the city.
