Member of Hamas’s political bureau Mousa Abu Marzouk has highlighted his Movement’s keenness on deepening its relations with all the Arab and Islamic parties at the official and popular levels.
In press remarks to the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) on Sunday Abu Marzouk affirmed that his Movement does not interfere in other countries’ internal affairs or enter into alliances against others nor does it antagonize any regional party.
He stressed that his Movement’s “archenemy is only the Israeli occupation state and its compass points towards Jerusalem.”
The Hamas official talked about the top Hamas delegation’s recent visits to Lebanon and Algeria and its meetings with their senior officials and public figures describing the visits as fruitful and beneficial to the Palestinian people and their national cause.
“The two visits took place as part of our ongoing efforts to maintain continuous and permanent contacts with various Arab and Islamic countries” he said.
Abu Marzouk also commented on US president Joe Biden’s recent remarks about strengthening Israel’s security expressing his belief that Biden was addressing the Zionist lobby in America after his chances of vying for a second term was adversely affected by his failure to solve his country’s issues that resulted from the Ukraine war.
“Moreover there are internal efforts for the return of former president Trump to the White House so in order for Biden to face such challenges and address the problem of energy and high oil prices he seeks to forge regional alliances with Israel included” he added.
