GAZA (PIC)– Dr. Taleb Abu Shaar the PA minister of Awkaf (Endowment) and religious affairs in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday called for an urgent Islamic summit conference to discuss Israel’s repeated attacks against and violations of the holy Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem.
Addressing a press conference along with Awkaf undersecretary Dr. Abdullah Abu Jarbu in Gaza city Abu Shaar said that the UN Security Council should also meet to discuss those Israeli inhuman violations of the holy site.
He appealed to the Arabs and Muslims worldwide along with the Islamic and national parties and organizations to organize massive solidarity rallies in support of the inhabitants of Jerusalem who are the target of the “cruelest forced emigration in modern history”.
The minister noted that the Israeli occupation authority had prepared 50 plans to judaize Jerusalem and wipe out its Arab and Islamic identity in preparation for establishing greater Jerusalem which the IOA plans in order to annex 84 Zionist settlements.
The IOA also prepared a scheme to build more than 73000 housing units in occupied Jerusalem and handed demolition notifications to hundreds of citizens in the suburbs of Abbasiya and Silwan neighborhoods Abu Shaar elaborated.
He pointed out that the IOA demolition campaign had lately escalated in occupied Jerusalem as the IOA ordered the flattening of 55 apartments in Sha’fat refugee camp.
