Palestinian administrative detainees in Israeli jails continue to boycott administrative courts for the 92nd day running Saturday to demand an end to the policy of administrative detention under the slogan “Our decision is freedom.”
The administrative detainees are held in different Israeli prisons mostly in Negev and Ofer jails.
The detainees had announced early last January a comprehensive and final boycott of all judicial proceedings relating to administrative detention.
The Israeli occupation authorities continue to issue further administrative arrest warrants; the number of orders issued from the beginning of the current year to the end of February had reached 203 according to the Palestinian prisoner society.
There are approximately 4500 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli occupation prisons 34 of whom are women and approximately 180 children while 500 are held in administrative detention.
